La cinquième édition de Mind & Market in Luxembourg, célèbre forum rassemblant start-ups et entreprises, s'est pour la première fois déroulée entièrement sous le format numérique. A l'heure où la flexibilité est plus nécessaire que jamais, le concept de Mind & Market a été repensé pour mieux s'adapter aux circonstances actuelles imposées par la crise sanitaire. Des start-ups du monde entier ont été accueillies en ligne, dans une nouvelle formule améliorée du forum où leurs idées prometteuses pouvaient devenir réalité.

Lancement du GovTech Lab et de son premier challenge "Bye bye Robots!"

Le 26 novembre 2020, Marc Hansen, ministre délégué à la Digitalisation, a présenté le concept du nouveau GovTech Lab de l'État luxembourgeois et a lancé par la même occasion le premier challenge du Lab intitulé "Bye bye Robots!". Cette présentation s'est faite dans un format très particulier puisqu'il s'agissait de la première conférence de presse de l'État luxembourgeois organisée intégralement par visioconférence.

Japan's Fugaku Retains Title as World's Fastest Supercomputer

The supercomputer Fugaku, which is being developed jointly by RIKEN and Fujitsu Limited based on Arm® technology, has again taken the top spot on the major high-performance computer rankings, including the Top500 list, in all of the rankings posting much higher scores than the runners-up. The other rankings are HPCG, a ranking of supercomputers running real-world applications, HPL-AI, which ranks supercomputers based on their performance capabilities for tasks typically used in artificial intelligence applications, and Graph 500, which ranks systems based on data-intensive loads. It also posted the highest score by far on the Graph 500 ranking. The awards were announced on November 16 (Japan time) at the SC20 High-Performance Computing Conference, currently being held as an online event.

Fujitsu and Tokyo Medical and Dental University Leverage World's Fastest Supercomputer to Perform Cancer Gene Network Analysis in Less than a Day

Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) and Fujitsu Laboratories Limited have recently completed, in less than a day, estimation of the network that represents the influence relationship between genes and prediction of their relationship with infiltration and metastasis based on genes highly likely to be involved in cancer development. TMDU and Fujitsu achieved this leveraging Fujitsu Laboratories' explainable AI technology "Deep Tensor" with the world's fastest supercomputer, Fugaku, which was jointly developed by RIKEN and Fujitsu. The project was conceived under the theme of "elucidation of the cause and diversity of cancer using large-scale data analysis and AI technology" as part of the supercomputer Fugaku achievement acceleration program being promoted by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology from May 2020 to March 2023.
