Apple, Microsoft and Google commit to the extended FIDO Standards
On the Password International Day, occurring on May 5th, a FIDO Alliance press release announced that Apple, Microsoft and Google agree to commit to the extended FIDO Alliance standards - created in partnership with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) - which consist in the generation of a common passwordless sign-in technology.

Bitcoin: 400.000 brands able to accept cryptocurrencies
Jack Mallers, CEO of Strike (software to sell and buy bitcoin), has announced that a partnership with three main payment providers, which means that websites and storekeepers across the United States, relying on those platforms, will be able to accept Bitcoin as a method of payment. Mallers explained that “the integration eliminates legacy banks from the payment process, saving merchants on fees and enabling privacy for shoppers” (cf: Bitcoin Magazine).
