Luxinnovation and Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) repeat the DIH ON TOUR initiative. This second edition was officially launched last Wednesday, at the FANUS European Customisation and Distribution Center in Contern.
“The success of the first edition, where we met more than 100 companies on 12 industrial sites, convinced us to repeat the initiative this year”, Luxinnovation Senior Advisor Digital Transformation Joachim Clemens-Stolbrink said. The objective behind this initiative is to help and facilitate Luxembourg-based manufacturing businesses’ transformation through digitalization. Arnaud Lambert, Director - Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub at Luxinnovation, specified that "this formula also allows manufacturing companies to meet and exchange with others around common experiences and issues".
The concept? A bus passes through nine industrial zones all over the country, to meet with manufacturers. The bus is specifically designed as a classroom to ease interactions. These interventions aim overall at raising awareness on various essential digitization themes, at organizing round tables and exchanges with experts, and at visiting one of the attendee companies. Clemens-Stolbrink further explained that: “by going directly to industrial companies, we can be more attentive to their needs. We are also able to better explain [...] all the benefits they can gain from digital transformation and the transition to industry 4.0”.
The main topic of this 2022 edition is AI and machine learning in production workshops. The bus will start roaming the country from September 20 to October 6. If you are interested in taking part in this initiative, you can still register here. Seats are limited!
