Luxembourg economy buoyed by local businesses hiring

Luxembourg has recently joined the esteemed ranks amongst only nine other countries in the world to be given the top credit rating of AAA by S&P, Moody’s and Fitch. In their review, Fitch highlighted the ‘open and innovative character’ of the Luxembourg economy, and commended it on having one of the strongest recoveries in the Euro zone. This recovery was in helped in no small part by local businesses who have continued to grow.

One international IT services business, Halian, who have their European base in Howald, have hired or placed over 60 people in the past year alone, contributing significantly to not only their own growth, but that of their customers as well.

Martin Sokolowski (photo), Halian’s Business Development Director for BeLux, agrees with these facts and says he sees no sign of things slowing down. “Our customers are increasingly coming to us with new roles which indicates business expansion throughout the area. Halian are not only growing internally, but we are honoured to be trusted with helping our customers expand by providing them with the manpower they need to make that next step.”

In a recent survey by InterNations, Luxembourg was ranked 3rd in the overall best countries to work abroad in, 1st in job security, and 1 in 5 workers ranked their job satisfaction as ‘couldn’t be happier’. In addition, 76% of respondents who have relocated to Luxembourg for work agreed that it was a good move for their career.

Halian are currently recruiting for a wide range of roles, so whether you’re considering a move to Luxembourg for the first time, or if you’re looking for a new opportunity within the area, visit www.halian.com/working-with-us to learn more about the company and to see what roles are available that might be a good fit for you.
