With around 129,000 euros per year, Luxembourg's cybersecurity experts are the highest paid in the world, according to a study by the British media TechShielder published in early August.
Taking into account job availability, average salary and cost of living, Luxembourg comes 4th in the ranking of “The Best Place to Live for a Cybersecurity Job” behind Washington D. C., Singapore and Berlin but ahead of Brussels (5), Vienna (7) or even London (8). The study is based on job offers in the sector listed on two recruitment leaders, Indeed and Glassdoor.
With cyber-attacks on the rise, cybersecurity jobs remain in high demand around the world and that number is set to grow. Cybersecurity is an ever-growing field. Worldwide reliance on technology rises by the day, and as a result, digital security is becoming more important than ever.
Washington D.C sits at the top of the ranking of “The Best Place to Live for a Cybersecurity Job” – which may not come as a surprise to many, as the capital is the headquarters of government agencies that employ many cybersecurity professionals.
Singapore (2nd) has the highest job availability out of all the cities examined.
