CryptoParty4Kids, taking the first steps in the hacking culture

The first CryptoParty4Kids will take place on October 22nd, during the 11th edition of the hack.lu conference, at the Alvisse Parc Hotel from 4pm until 5:30pm.

This event will allow children to take their first steps in the hacking culture and get introduced to the basics of practical cryptography. The aim of a CryptoParty is to present the most basic cryptography software and the fundamental concepts of their operation to the general public.

CryptoParty4Kids is an initiative of BEE SECURE dedicated to promote a secure use of Information Technologies. “This workshop is dedicated to children aged from 8 to 12 and will be held in English. Indeed, this year we will have the chance to get the active support of some experts from the hack.lu conference. The children will learn about cryptography, networking, and secure browsing. But more importantly, they will have fun, as everything will be reached through games. It will be a great premiere”, explains Matthieu Farcot from SMILE.
