LHoFT, BCEE & ICEX to organize a Spanish Fintech Roadshow
On Wednesday 22 November, the LHoFT Foundation and BCEE (Spuerkeess) with the support of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) organized a conference in the amazing venue of the “BCEE's 19 Liberté building" showcasing eleven of Spain most interesting financial technology companies. The conference gathered more than 100 banking and financial services executives.

When Fintech Innovation meets Financial Inclusion
The Fincluders Bootcamp 2017 was successfully finalized on November 2nd after two weeks of intensive work, passionate discussions, and business meetings. The investment readiness and coaching program for financial technology startups held in Luxembourg and Frankfurt am Main, Germany, aimed at nurturing innovative young financial technology companies with ideas for increasing financial inclusion in many countries worldwide, for farmers in Kenya to merchants in Jordan. Building on the success of the Fincluders Startup Competitions held in Berlin, Germany and Amman, Jordan by the leading micro and small enterprise funds EFSE and SANAD, the funds, through their Technical Assistance Facilities, invited promising fintechs which are developing inclusive financial services to underserved groups to the Fincluders Bootcamp 2017.

Luxembourg is known all over the world for its financial sector, mostly for being the largest European fund domicile and the second largest fund center in the world after the US. The country is also the host for one of the largest numbers of international banks, listed the first ever green bond to enter the market and more recently launched LGX, the world’s leading platform dedicated exclusively to securities that are 100% green, social or sustainable. Over the last fifteen years, the country also has seen the birth and development of hundreds of ICT companies and tech startups. According to EBF Facts & Figures, customers embrace electronic payments & mobile banking
The European Banking Federation today has published the 2017 EBF Facts & Figures, its annual update on the banking sector in Europe. The publication shows that the contraction in terms of staff numbers and branches in the European banking sector continued in 2016 as customers increasingly embrace electronic payments as well as online and mobile banking. Eurozone deposits and loans grew slightly.
